DESTINATIONS

At Sea, Port Said (Egypt), Ashdod (Israel), Limassol (Cyprus), Rhodes (Greece), Kusadasi (Turkey), Athens (Greece)

A unique itinerary in 3 different continents (Europe, Asia and Africa) in just 7 nights. If you’re interested in archaeology, religion and culture, this is a once in a lifetime experience that you shouldn’t miss. In Egypt, you‘ll visit the world famous Pyramids. With sand-covered tombs, austere pyramids and towering Pharaonic temples, Egypt will bring out the explorer in all of you. We then sail to Israel. Through Ashdod, which is the gateway to the Holy Land, you‘ll get the chance to visit Bethlehem, the birth place of Jesus, and of course Jerusalem, where Muslim, Christian, Jewish and Armenian quarters each add their own spice to this spiritual place. Moreover we introduce Limassol and Pafos in Cyprus where you’ll be surrounded by acres of history as you discover historic gems such as medieval baths and catacombs. Our itinerary also includes your all-time classic Kusadasi in Turkey and ancient Ephesus, one of Europe’s largest open-air archaeological museums. Last but not least, for the medieval history lovers we have the island of Rhodes which is well-known for the archaeological site of the Acropolis of Lindos, and for its Medieval Old Town.

Day 1 | Athens (Greece)

Depart: 17:00

Sun-drenched and mythic, Athens is a big and modern metropolis with inspiring world heritage marvels at its very heart. The most important city-state in ancient Greece and birthplace of democracy is also the sprawling capital of Greece today, but most of the major archaeological and historical sites are to be found within a compact area around the Acropolis itself. With a recorded history going back more than three millennia, Athens is one of the oldest cities in the world, and rightly considered to be the cradle of Western Civilization. Even a short visit of the Greek capital's highlights, starting with the iconic Acropolis, is enough to fall under its legendary spell.

Day 2 | At Sea

A wonderful opportunity for you to enjoy our trademark hospitality, flawless service and on-board entertainment. Take the time and get to know your ship as you cruise from Piraeus towards the port of Alexandria. Entertainment and music performances, fine dining at our restaurants, exercise programs, games, handicrafts, language lessons and contests – there’s always something to do on board for everyone. If you prefer to take the time out to relax, let Celestyal Crystal take care of you. Whatever you do, don't forget to end your night on our promenade decks, where you can revel in the splendor of a starlit sea sky.

Day 3 | Port Said (Egypt)

Arrival: 06:30 | Depart: 22:00

Sitting on the coast of the Mediterranean, the city was established in 1859 during the construction of the Suez Canal. It flourished for decades but its glory is a little faded. It still has an allure, but the main attraction is the Suez Canal, with a raised pedestrian boardwalk running along the waterfront. After a complimentary excursion to Cairo and the Pyramids of Giza, the only one of Seven Great Wonders still standing, you will rejoin the ship in Port Said.

Day 4 | Ashdod (Israel)

Arrival: 08:00 | Depart: 22:00

Located on the sun-soaked Mediterranean coastline, Ashdod is the starting point for a pilgrimage all of your own. A melting pot of religious monuments and cultural offerings can all be found within a short trip, and there’s something for every taste.

Available Excursions

Day 5 | Limassol (Cyprus)

Arrival: 11:00 | Depart: 18:00

Your first glimpse of Limassol from the cruise ship is its shiny, modern marina, filled with row upon row of yachts and fishing boats. You’ll be greeted by busy bars and restaurants that make optimum sunset-watching settings, but walk further along the never-ending seafront promenade, Molos, and Limassol’s past will soon reveal itself.

Available Excursions

Day 6 | Rhodes (Greece)

Arrival: 12:00 | Depart: 20:00

Approaching Rhodes island by sea is an experience all of its own. The clifftop Acropolis at Lindos rises slowly from the still blue waters, evoking the ancient Colossus which once adorned the harbor, and modern hillside villages lay in the shadow of the imposing medieval fortification.

Available Excursions

Day 7 | Kusadasi (Turkey)

Arrival: 07:00 | Depart: 19:30

Arriving in the port of Kusadasi, Turkey you’ll instantly feel at home. A huge covered bazaar stretches out in front of you and the buzz from trendy seaside bars and restaurants floats through the air. Follow your instincts and lose track of time ambling from café to café and exploring its myriad of shops and historic sites.
